Our Character Education Committee includes teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators from Jeffrey Clark and Samuel Mickle Schools. Our goal is to create a program that supports our district's vision of providing a safe, respectful, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students and staff. We pride ourselves on promoting a positive climate and culture among our students, staff members, and parents. The team meets during the school year and in summer the to reflect, update, and enhance our Character Education program. Committee members communicate updates with their grade level teams, at faculty meetings and via our Character Education newsletter. Our goal is to work together to provide our students with a positive foundation for a Character Education program that emphasizes the importance of the values of respect, kindness, responsibility, acceptance, integrity and perseverance. The true goal of our character education program is to teach our students how to be good people.
